Amita ka Amit actor Jagesh Mukati dies of breathing issues in Mumbai

Jagesh Mukati was admitted to a Mumbai hospital a week ago after he complained of breathing problems. He was suffering from asthma.

Popular television and Gujarati actor Jagesh Mukati, who worked in shows like Amita ka Amit and Shree Ganesh, died in Mumbai on Wednesday (June 10). According to reports, the actor was suffering from asthma and was admitted to a Mumbai hospital 1week ago after he complained of problems in breathing.

He was on a ventilator in the hospital.

Actress Ambika Ranjankar, who worked with Jagesh Mukati earlier, took to social media to mourn his demise. Sharing a photo of herself with the late actor, she wrote, "Kind, supportive and terrific sense of humor... gone too soon... May your soul attain Sadgati... Shanti... Jagesh you'll be missed dear friend (sic)."

Dheeraj Kumar, director of Shree Ganesh can't believe that Jagesh Mukati is no more. "I can't believe that Jagesh Mukati is not with us anymore. 20 years ago, he worked with me on Shree Ganesh as the lead and recently we reconnected to promote the show, which started re-running on Star Plus from June 2. He had mentioned his health problems and I told him that he will soon be fit and healthy and now suddenly we've lost him. I pray to God that he gives strength to his family to bear the loss. Jagesh was an amazing and a very grounded person. He will be missed," said Kumar, reacting to Jagesh Mukati's death.
